Dear 7 Ages Collector's Edition Legend, 

thank you very much for your fantastic support of our greatest ever game, 7 Ages: the Collector's Edition.

Due to the blizzard of changes you asked for, which required moving the game 3 inches to the left (wholesale changes to the cards and counters with flow on effects to the map, rules and covers) the game has taken a bit longer to finish than anticipated, but the first files have already been submitted to the printers and the rest should be submitted before the end of the month (February). The printers say they can print it in 60 days so the game should still be released by the end of  April but may go into May, we'll keep you informed. There will then be a few weeks for the games to ship around the world to your door.

Not that I'm criticising mind you for making me move the game 3 inches to the left. The changes are great and should actually speed up the play quite a bit, particularly now that the events are colour coded by the actions they are playable in (as well as an action letter to cover any colour impairment). Instead of having to look at every event to see whether its playable in this action, now you can scan all 7 cards in under a second to see which might be playable and which aren't.

Also the secondary cancelling effects now include the letter of the action they are playable in so you can keep a card for the right action as necessary.

You made the game better for you and me so thank you. As the third element of happiness is the successful completion of a task in co-operation with other people, give yourself a big pat on the back, we'll all get through more games of 7 Ages as a result, concentrating on the fun and not the administration. 

Even more good news, if you are a 7 Ages CE pledge backer (you have ordered a 7 Ages CE game or 7 Ages CE Expansion set), you can play 7 Ages the Collector's edition online right now by following this dropbox folder link to the 7 Ages CE Vassal module 1.05. 

Note this zipped file is password protected. All pledge backers (those who have advance ordered a 7 Ages CE game or expansion kit) yesterday should have received an email from Cassie (ADG <australiandesigngroup@gmail.com>) with the information on how to download the module and the appropriate passwords. After checking your junk filter, if you have not received this email please email Cassie and she will send you the info.

The 7 Ages CE living rules (last updated 15 February 2026) to play the game are available for free download in the download page of the ADG site.

Legends who have purchased multiple copies of the game (e.g. the 7 Ages Deluxe triple pack) are authorised to forward the extra licences to their friends. Immortals have 7 licences available to distribute.

If you haven't yet advance ordered, you can order the game from our site and we will then send you the details for downloading the 7 Ages CE Vassal module. 6 months after general release the module will be available to all (no password required).
